People in the Sun

The burning sun shines on this Midsummer Day.
At he camping area, filled with RV vans and small rentable cottages, people are preparing to leave the area by bus to go to the nearby party site to see the bonfires and dance. While people are packing up and leaving for the night, two couples unknown to have decided to stay behind, enjoying the peace and quiet of their sole company.
Ingrid and Stig are having their yearly excursion to the camping area. This year they forgot to book the right cabin, the one with the sea view, in time. It is now occupied by Siv and Svante, much to Stig's annoyance. The couple is both hateful and dependent of each other. She is excusing herself most of the time, an he is picking on her constantly for biting her nails, singing false and for being stupid. What happens when these two couples decide to eat their midsummer dinner together, a miserable idea from the socially handicapped Svante? As the couples discuss their everyday misery, they overlook the strangely hot weather, the weird light, the flies and the dying fish. Too late they discover that they have ignored the signs and that all is lost.
It is, all in all, a traditional summer comedy, except that the world is ending. A doomsday comedy.
